Gold Feet & Milestones

Congratulations to the following Skaters for achieving the following milestones!

Congratulations to Camryn Monsen (above) for passing her Gold Skills on March 6th 2021 at an in club assesment day. This is Camryn’s third gold test. 

Congratulations to Camryn Monsen (above) for completing her first Gold tests! On February 13th 2021 she took part in her first virtual assessment and passed her GOLD DANCES and her GOLD ARTISTIC tests!  Camryn is a grade 12 student and is working toward her gold skills and her star 9 freeskate tests.

Congratulations to Makayla Forrest (below) for completing additional gold tests to add to her gold skills.  On February 13th 2021 she took part in her first virtual assessment and passed her GOLD DANCES and her GOLD ARTISTIC tests!  Makayla is a grade 8 student  with a goal to complete her gold freskate down the road.

Congratulations to Kaytlin Gingles (above) for passing her first complete Gold test – GOLD SKILLS on November 27th 2020. Kaytlin is a grade 12 student, and hopes to complete more gold tests once high tests days are allowed again (pandemic has them on hold).

Congratulations to Makayla Forrest (below) for passing her first complete Gold test – GOLD SKILLS on November 27th 2020. Makayla is a grade 8 student, competes in Juvenile ladies and she is close to completing her Gold Dances.

Congratulations to Brianne Monsen for passing her GOLD ARTISTIC test in Terrace on November 16th 2019.  Brianne has passed three Gold tests and is now wokring toward her Star 10 and then Gold Freeskate test.  

TSC congratulates Maya Lecuyer on her Gold Freeskate test in Houston on March 9th 2019. This is Maya’s fourth gold test making her a QUAD GOLD TEST SKATER!  Maya attends Caledonia Senior HIghshool (grade 10), she is a Program Assistant for the TSC and is enrolled to take her Can Skate coaching course this spring.  Maya enjoys skiing, climbing and many other outdoor activities. Maya’s team of coaches includes Jennifer Kuehne, Kelsey Minhinnick, Heather Hanna and Joanne Bartlett.

TSC congratulates Brianne Monsen on completing her GOLD DANCES on March 9th 2019 in Houston.  This is her second gold test and she is only in grade 9! Way to go!

TSC congratulates Brianne Monsen on her first gold test –  GOLD SKILLS on May 12th 2018 at the Kitimat spring skating school test day.  Brianne attendes Skeena Middle School in grade 8.  She enjoys playing soccer and doing acro gymnastics. She is a volunteer Program Assistant for our Can Skate program.  Brianne skates at the Juvenile ladies freeskate level, has passed her Junior Silver Freeskte test, she just passed her last Senior Silver Dance and has passed the Silver Interpretive test. Brianne is coaches by Jennifer Kuehne, Heather Hanna and Kelsey Minhinnick.

TSC would like to congratulate Maya Lecuyer on her first gold test – GOLD SKILLS on May 14th 2017 at the Kitimat spring skating test day. Maya attends Skeena Middle School and is very active outside of skating with skiing, climbing, biking and more.  She volunteers to the club helping with the Can Skate program as a trained Program Assistant.  Maya has worked very hard this season and had great improvement. Maya is coached by Jennifer Kuehen, Heather Hanna and Kelsey Minhinnick.

TSC would like to congratulate Hanah Lee for passing her GOLD INTERPRETIVE test in Kitimat on February 18th 2017. She skated a beautiful solo to ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ song by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. This is Hanah’s third gold test (already passing Gold Skill and Gold Dances in her previous club in Camrose Alberta).  Hanah is a grade 11 student at Caledonia.  She is very helpful with the TSC Can Skate program as one of our most experienced Program Assistants. Hanah is a hard worker and uses her practice ice time wisely. Hanah is coached by Jennifer Kuehne, Heather Hanna, & Kelsey Minhinnick.

The Terrace Skating Club would like to congratulate Hannah Jay on passing her first gold test – GOLD INTERPRETIVE on November 22nd 2014 in Kitimat. Hannah skated to ‘The Phantom of the Oprah’ for her test along a busy day including a skills test, dance test and freeskate test. Hannah is also very involved with basketball and and a high achieveing grade 11 student. She has been an active Program Assistant for the TSC Can Skate program and is a great role model.  Hannah is coached by Kelsey Minhinnick & Jennifer Kuehne. 


The Terrace Skating Club would like to congratulate Jorden Hendry on completing her QUAD GOLD in April 2011. Jorden Skated for 12 years. She went to Kamloops to skate with the Valleyview Skating club in the summer since she was 7 years old Until about 15 years old.  Outside of skating, Jorden was in soccer and cheer-leading. Jorden was coached by Jennifer Kuehne. Jorden also coached for the TSC for one season 2013-2014 (her grade 12 year)!


The Terrace Skating Club would like to congratulate Rayven Algor for earning her Quad Gold in 2010!   Rayven started skating at 5 years old and she has been skating since 2001 with the Terrace Skating Club. She was coached by Barb Long. She was also involved in school volleyball. Ray en coached for the TSC for 2011-2013 seasons.


The Terrace Skating Club would like to congratulate Jenna Pavao on passing her Gold Skills, Dance & Interpretive (as of 2009).  Jenna Skated with the TSC for 13 years and was coached by Barb Long.


The Terrace Skating Club would like to congratulate Julianne Lenuik for passing her Gold Skills, Gold Interpretive & Gold Dance tests (as of 2008).  Julianne started skating at the age of 3 with the Terrace Skating Club and has attended Summer School at the Rushton’s Summer Skating School in Parksville BC.  Julianne’s was Coached by Cathy Mills for most of her skating time and for a short while by Barb Long.


The Terrace Skating Club would like to congratulate Hayley Lessard for passing her Gold Skills, Gold Interpretive and Gold Dances (as of 2009). Hayley started skating since she was 4 years old with the Terrace Skating Club.She was coached by Cathy Mills and Jennifer Kuehne. She was also involved in dirt-biking and four-wheeling. Some of her skating achievements are winning medals at StarSkate provincials.

Hayley is the granddaughter of one of the TSC founding members, Monica Lessard.


The Terrace Skating Club would like to congratulate Ashley Thandi for completing her Gold Dances, Gold Interpretive, and Gold Skills (as of 2009).  Highlights for Ashley were winning provincial StarSkate medals. Ashley was a very well respected CanSkate Program Assistabt. Ashley was coached by Barb Lewis and Jennifer Kuehne.

First TSC skater to pass a gold test was Donna Lessard who passed her Gold Dances in 1979.

Donna is the daughter of one of TSC founding members, Monica Lessard. Donna is an Aunt to Hayley Lessard (above gold test skater).

Jacqueline skated in Can Skate to Figure Skating with the TSC. She is the first TSC member to pass her Senior Competitive test and compete at Skate Canada Senior Nationals.

2008-2009 BC/YT Section Junior Ladies Silver Medalist

2010-2011 BC/YT Section Senior Ladies Bronze Medalist

2010-2011: 10th place finish at Skate Canada Senior Ladies Challege (Westerm Canadian Championships)

2010-2011: 18th place finish at Skate Canada Senior Ladies Nationals (Canadian Championships)

 2006 TSC Ice Show Photo of Jacqueline Lenuik who completed her Quad Gold tests in the 2007-2008 season. Jacqueline was coached by Cathy Mills and skated with the Rushtons in the summers when she was younger. As an older teen she relocated to Burnaby to skate at the BC Centre of Excellence with Jill Marie, Joanne McLeod and team.

Jacqueline has gone on to be a skating judge , then a Certified Can Skate coach and still skates for enjoyment.

TSC is and always was very proud to have Jacqueline represent our club.


Heather Hanna

 Heather Hanna skated with the TSC from CanSkate to Figure Skating. She achieved her Quad Gold tests and was a competitive skater.

After highschool graduation she moved to Victoria and kept skating. She qualified to StarSkate Nationals in the Gold Triathlon event.

She skated in various professional ice shows and in 2014 was accepted into Disney On Ice and preformed with them for 2 years.

In the fall of 2016 Heather became a certified coach and began coaching with the Terrace SC.
